It’s official information from Vietnam Immigration Department, which updated today, February 17th 2020. People who have Hong Kong passport (passport number begin with letter “K”) and Macao passport (passport number begin with letter “MA”) still can apply Vietnam electronic visa to Vietnam.
The rule of Vietnam visa for Hong Kong passport holders is changed from the end of January, the Evisa system is temporarily closed, which makes the online visa application more difficult. For those who are preparing for a Vietnam trip, Vietnam electronic visa is still the best choice. They are still waiting for the Evisa system to open again. And luckily, when the virus situation is better, the Vietnam electronic visa is re-opened for Hong Kong passport holder.
Accordingly, Hong Kong passport holders can apply online for an electronic visa to come to Vietnam for both tourist and business trip, updated on February 17th 2020. The visa application is the same as what it is before. Hong Kong citizens can access the application page, fill out the visa application form, and upload passport photo + digital photo.
