Vaccine passport, or Covid-19 vaccination certificate, is required document to enter most of country now. Does Vietnam require vaccine passport to enter the country in this pandemic period? And what kind of vaccination certificate is approved by Vietnam Government?
Vaccine passport is the document to prove that you already got vaccinated for Covid-19 Coronavirus. And you can travel to a specific country with simplified requirements.
Vaccine passport or below equivalent documents are required to enter Vietnam in Covid-19 pandemic:
In the context that vaccination is not provided popularly in the world now, Vietnam still need the negative Coronavirus testing 3 days before entry date to get entry permit. The Covid-19 testing must be done by Real Time PCR method. In the future, vaccine passport or some other equivalent documents can replace the testing.
All types of vaccines which are tested and approved by WHO are accepted to get entry permit to Vietnam. The list can be extended when its effectiveness and use are proven.
As the demand for vaccine passport is increasing, many fake vaccine passports appear. All Covid-19 vaccination certificates will be checked, and in some cases, Covid-19 testing is required.
Depending on the pandemic situation and the place you depart, quarantine might be required. In this case, you must contact the quarantine accommodation to book in advance.
