During pandemic period, most of countries close the border. Vietnam is also restricting entry of the foreigners for disease prevention. Does Vietnam accept the foreigners who already got vaccinated and had vaccination certificate to enter during Covid-19 period? What is the procedure to enter Vietnam now?
The pandemic situation in the world is still complicated now. Even many countries began to get vaccinated for their own citizens, we need a long time to get public immunity for Covid-19. As a result, most of countries still close the borders now.
Vietnam is now allowing only the business people (included experts, businessmen, managers, investors, skilled workers) to apply visa and enter for working purpose. These people need to take Covid testing by Real Time PCR 3 days before entry date.
Vietnam does not open tourism for tourists yet. Tourist cannot apply for visa to travel in Vietnam like before. However, a recover tourism campaign is considering.
Vietnam is now getting vaccinated for front line medical staff, and will do vaccination for all citizens in 2022. Tourism will be step by step opened. At that time, all foreigners entering Vietnam need to have Covid-19 vaccination certificate. And those who have vaccine passport will be allowed to enter if they already got visa approval.
