With the good control of pandemic situation as well as vaccination is getting all around the world now, Vietnam Government has announced that Vietnam tourism will welcome international tourist again, included Sweden citizens. Vietnam tourist visa is also resumed for Swedish. Swedish passport holders can apply a tourist visa and enter Vietnam for travelling purpose now.
In order to get entry permit to Vietnam, Sweden citizens need to prepare:
1/ Covid-19 testing
Even the Covid-19 is under controlled now, many countries are still afraid of another pandemic wave. Vietnam (the same as many other countries) is still strictly control the pandemic. Vietnam requires all visitors to test Covid-19 and get a negative Coronavirus testing certificate 3-5 days before entry date. Depending on the country you depart from, a vaccine passport or vaccination certificate can replace this document.
2/ Valid visa
In order to enter Vietnam for travelling, Swedish passport holders need to apply a tourist visa now. Vietnam tourist visa is re-opened for Sweden citizens now, and it can be applied online. Sweden citizens can apply Vietnam tourist visa at Vietnam consulate office in Sweden, or apply an electronic visa, or apply online for a visa approval letter to get visa on arrival at the airport.
Vietnam tourist visa for Swedish is valid for 1 month or 3 months. You can choose single entry or multiple entry when submitting the application documents.

3/ Quarantine arrangement
Depending on the country you depart, a quarantine might be required after arriving. If you are required for quarantine, you must book the quarantine service in advance. The quarantine service includes accommodation for quarantine, car transfer from the airport to quarantine location, Covid-19 test at quarantine zone.
If you depart from a country which is not required for quarantine, you only need to show your visa and Covid-19 testing certificate to enter. All tourist attractions in Vietnam are welcoming international tourist again now, and you can travel to anywhere you like.
