Van Don airport is just opened again to welcome international tourists after Covid-19 pandemic. Vietnam government decided to lift all travel restrictions in Van Don airport and allowed the foreign tourists to enter again after Covid-19 is well controlled. Foreign tourists now can apply Vietnam tourist visa again and visit this beautiful country.
Van Don airport is a good choice of landing for international tourists who want to explore Quang Ninh Province and some nearby locations. Before Covid-19 pandemic outbreak, Van Don airport served many foreign tourists who came to Vietnam for vacation. However, during the Coronavirus outbreak, Van Don airport only opens for domestic routes and limited international commercial routes. Foreign tourists cannot fly to Van Don airport from March 2020.
With good control of Covid-19 pandemic, Vietnam now allows the foreign tourists to enter again through Van Don airport. All international tourists who have negative Covid-19 testing and valid tourist visa can book the air ticket to Quang Ninh Province now. The Covid-19 testing must be done 3-5 days before entry date, and in some specific cases, this document can be replaced by vaccination certificate or immunity passport.

Apply Vietnam visa at Vietnam embassy or consulate in your country
Depending on your current living country, there might be Vietnam embassy or consulate. You can come directly to the embassy of Vietnam to submit visa application. Visa issued by Vietnam embassy can use at Van Don airport, and you can enter Vietnam for 1 month or 3 months with single or multiple entry.
