Phu Quoc airport is just opened again to welcome international tourists after Covid-19 pandemic. Vietnam government decided to lift all travel restrictions in Phu Quoc airport and allowed the foreign tourists to enter again after Covid-19 is well controlled. Foreign tourists now can apply Vietnam tourist visa again and visit this beautiful country.
Phu Quoc airport is a good choice of landing for international tourists who want to explore Phu Quoc Island and some nearby locations. Before Covid-19 pandemic outbreak, Phu Quoc airport served many foreign tourists who came to Vietnam for vacation. However, during the Coronavirus outbreak, Phu Quoc airport only opens for domestic routes and limited international commercial routes. Foreign tourists cannot fly to Phu Quoc airport from March 2020.
With good control of Covid-19 pandemic, Vietnam now allows the foreign tourists to enter again through Phu Quoc airport. All international tourists who have negative Covid-19 testing and valid tourist visa can book the air ticket to Phu Quoc Island now. The Covid-19 testing must be done 3-5 days before entry date, and in some specific cases, this document can be replaced by vaccination certificate or immunity passport.
In order to enter Vietnam now, visa is required. If you want to enter Vietnam through Phu Quoc airport, you can choose one of these below ways:
a/ Apply Vietnam visa at Vietnam embassy or consulate in your country
Depending on your current living country, there might be Vietnam embassy or consulate. You can come directly to the embassy of Vietnam to submit visa application. Visa issued by Vietnam embassy can use at Phu Quoc airport, and you can enter Vietnam for 1 month or 3 months with single or multiple entry.
b/ Apply Vietnam electronic visa
Vietnam now offers electronic visa for citizens of 80 countries and 2 territories. If you are in the eligible list, you can apply electronic visa. Vietnam electronic visa is also allowed you to enter Vietnam through Phu Quoc airport. It is single entry visa and valid for 30 days only.
c/ Apply Vietnam visa on arrival
Visa on arrival is available at 7 international airports in Vietnam, included Phu Quoc airport. All you need to do is applying a visa approval letter online before the entry date, and then use this letter to get visa stamp at Phu Quoc airport when you arrive. Visa on arrival can give you 1 month or 3 months of stay, with single or multiple entry.
