Transportation

There are 3 main transportations that you can enter Vietnam:

Bus

Cambodia is a neighbor country with Vietnam, so it just takes you about a 5-6 hours to arrive in this S shaped country through border gates. You don’t need to worry about which border gate the bus will come across and your visa is accepted or not, they will make sure that you can totally enter Vietnam through this transportation.

By bus, only E-visa is accepted to enter Vietnam. Visa On Arrival cannot use in this case.

If you travel from Cambodia to Vietnam by bus, you should apply an E-visa in advance

Motorbike

If you are planning to go to Vietnam by motorbike, E-visa will be required to enter Vietnam. In addition, you also need to know which border gate accepts your E-visa to enter:

  • Moc Bai border gate in Tay Ninh province (border with Cambodia)
  • Xa Mat border gate in Tay Ninh province (border with Cambodia)
  • Tinh Bien border gate in An Giang province (border with Cambodia)
  • Song Tien border gate in An Giang province (border with Cambodia)
  • Ha Tien border gate in Kien Giang province (border with Cambodia)

Note: Evisa allows you enter Vietnam, but you need to have a motorbike permit when you travel with your bike.

Airplane

The easiest transportation to enter Vietnam is airplane, however, it’s much more expensive than other transportations. If you are planning to use airplane to enter Vietnam, E-visa and Visa On Arrival are both accepted through international airports.

In Cambodia, you can choose Tan Son Nhat international airport (Ho Chi Minh city) which is your destination in Vietnam because of its location. Through this airport, every visa is accepted.

If you fly to vietnam, both Evisa and visa on arrival can be used
