Vietnamese Business Visa for Indians in 2025 – Documents and Process to Obtain Vietnam Business E-Visa To Indians

Indians wishing to enter Vietnam for business reasons must apply for a Vietnam Business Visa (also known as a Vietnam DN Visa). The Vietnamese Business Visa is a short-term visa provided to Indians who will be working in Vietnam for a business, attending a meeting/negotiation, signing a contract, etc., but do not have a work permit.

1/ Are Indians allowed to work in Vietnam with a Vietnamese Business Visa in 2025?

Yes, Indian passport holders with a valid Business Visa are permitted to operate in Vietnam so long as the period of each visit does not exceed 90 days.

Indians who want to work in Vietnam for more than three months must apply for a work permit and a temporary residency card.

2/ What are the prerequisites for applying for a Vietnamese business visa for Indians in 2025?

Indians must have the following papers in order to apply for a Vietnamese business visa:

3.1/ Obtaining a Vietnam Business Visa at an Indian Embassy or Consulate

a/ The sponsoring firm in Vietnam files for a Letter of Sponsorship or Letter of Entry Clearance from Vietnam’s Immigration Services after receiving the following information from Indians:

  • Full name
  • The precise dates of entrance and exit
  • The kind of business visa Indians need (single or multiple-entry)

The processing time for Letter of Sponsorship/Letter of Entry Clearance for Indians is around seven days. After issuance, the sponsor in Vietnam will send an email to the Indian applicant.

b/ Indians file an application for a Vietnamese Business Visa with the Letter of Sponsorship/Letter of Entry Clearance at the Embassy or Consulate.

  • Indians will be able to enter Vietnam after their Vietnamese Business Visa has been issued to their passports following approval.

3.2/ Obtaining a Vietnamese Business Visa Upon Arrival for Indian Citizens

Applying for a Vietnamese Business Visa Upon Arrival is a quicker and less complicated alternative to applying at the Embassy. Indians may only get a visa upon arrival at one of the following entry points:

  • Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City.

Indian visas will be processed upon completion of the visa application form. E-visa processing takes three business days, and the PDF visa result will be provided to the applicant’s registered email address.

4/ What is the length of Business Visa Vietnam for Indians?

Vietnamese Business Visas for Indians are available for one month, three months, and single or multiple entries.

For a longer working trip in Vietnam, Indians must urge their sponsoring firm in Vietnam to apply for a work visa, followed by the acquisition of a temporary residence card. The validity period for an Indian’s work permit and temporary residency card in Vietnam is two years. It serves as a long-term visa for Indian visitors to Vietnam.

5/ Are Indians able to renew their Vietnamese Business Visa in Vietnam in 2025?
