There are many sorts of Vietnam visas available that enable Indians to enter Ho Chi Minh City. For both tourism and commercial purposes, Indians may choose one of three visa types:

2.1/ Vietnam E-visa for Indians seeking admission into Ho Chi Minh City in 2025

The electronic visa, or e-Visa, is by far the easiest option for Indian people to get a Vietnamese visa. The e-Visa, which has been in effect since February 2017, is a kind of visa granted to foreigners by the Vietnamese Immigration Department that was designed to be approved via an electronic system. This kind of visa is exclusively provided for short-term stays to Vietnam for tourist, casual visits, short-term medical treatment, or short-term business. It is possible to apply for it online before travelling to Vietnam. Once the e-Visa is issued, Indians will get it through email; take a print of it to display at the airport.

The Vietnam E-visa for Indians may be used to enter Vietnam through international airports such as Tan Son Nhat (Ho Chi Minh city). Indian passport holders may enter Ho Chi Minh City freely with an E-visa.

When applying for a Vietnam E-visa online, Indians must provide the entrance port as “Tan Son Nhat airport – Ho Chi Minh city,” since the immigration officer will only allow Indians to enter Ho Chi Minh if the entry port specified in the E-visa is accurate.

This Vietnam e-Visa is valid for 30 days after arrival and is only good for one entry. Indians must renew their visas or leave Vietnam after the first 30 days of their visa.
