From February 2017, Vietnam launched its E-visa program, streamlining the traditional visa application process. Until 2024, citizens of 82 countries, including Italian passport, can apply online and get Vietnam E-visa electronically.

Vietnam E-visa is valid for 30 days maximum, so Italian can get maximum 30 days of stay when using Vietnam E-visa.
3/ HOW MANY ENTRIES DO ITALIAN GET WITH A VIETNAM E-VISA?
The Vietnam E-visa has a Single Entry, so Italian people can only enter Vietnam one time with E-visa. Right after Italian exit Vietnam, the Vietnam E-visa will be immediately invalid.
4/ WHAT CONDITIONS FOR ITALIAN TO GET A VIETNAM E-VISA?
There are some conditions that Italian have to consider before applying Vietnam E-visa, especially with the passport:

7/ HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO APPLY FOR THE VIETNAM E-VISA FOR ITALIAN?

8/ HOW CAN ITALIAN APPLY VIETNAM EVISA?
The application of Vietnam E-visa for Italian is quite easy. It has three steps:
STEP 1: Fill out the online application form by providing: Type of visa, the port of arrival, date of arrival, passport’s information, etc. Then attaching passport + photo.
STEP 2: Pay the service fee and government fee online with your credit/debit card. After submitting your order and payment, you will receive a confirmation email for your visa order. We will then process your Vietnam E-visa and send it to you by email. You can receive the email within 3 business days.
STEP 3: Download the Vietnam E-visa and print it out. You need to show the E-visa on arrival.

9/ IS IT POSSIBLE TO EXTEND THE STAY IN VIETNAM FOR ITALIAN BEYOND WHAT E-VISA PERMITS?
After entering Vietnam with an E-visa, Italian can request an agency or organization in Vietnam sponsor your stay. They can apply a new visa on your behalf at the Vietnam Immigration Department. The rule for extending Vietnam E-visa for Italian passport can change time by time, so you should contact us to get update if you have inquiry.
10/ DO ITALIAN HAVE TO ENTER VIETNAM ON THE EXACT DATE SPECIFIED IN E-VISA APPLICATION?
The validity period of your E-visa starts from the date specified in your approved E-visa document. In that case, you can easily enter Vietnam on any date within this validity period. However, please note that your visa will be expired at exact date specified in E-visa no matter which date you enter.

12/ MORE IMPORTANT INFORMATION ITALIAN NEED TO CONSIDER BEFORE APPLYING VIETNAM E-VISA
The Vietnam E-visa is a Single Entry visa.
The Vietnam E-visa has a 30 days in Total limit from the proposed date of entry indicated on the application.
Travelers who want to visit Vietnam must hold a passport valid for at least six months beyond the period of their intended stay.
Once the first 30 days of your visa have passed, a visa renewal is necessary. In accordance with national law, E-visa holders in Vietnam may be issued a new visa if an authorized Vietnamese organization or individual requests a foreigner’s entry, exit, transit through, and/or residence in Vietnam.
Minors with their own passport must complete a full E-visa application. Minors aged 14 and under who are included on their parents’ passport must be included on their parent’s E-visa application.
Applicants are required to carry a hard copy of their E-visa at all times during their stay.
