In an express document sent to the People’s Committees of the provinces and cities, Vietnamese Ministry of Health stated: Suspending the medical declarations at all border gates for travelers entering after 00:00 on April 27, 2022.
Previously, when the border was opened on March 15, 2022, the Ministry of Health required immigration officers at the border gates to fully check all passengers, and required the medical declaration.
The removal of medical declaration procedures for people entering Vietnam will make procedures at border gates quicker and easier. Previously, the medical declaration form also caused a lot of trouble for foreign tourists because it was unfamiliar and difficult to declare.
During the entry process, foreign tourists must still present a negative Covid-19 test certificate (within 72 hours with PCR method or within 24 hours with rapid test method), passport valid for at least 6 months, visa or other valid entry documents.
Depending on the pandemic situation in Vietnam and around the world, visa regulations and entry requirements will continue to be updated to suit the new situation.
