Because of good control of Covid-19 pandemic, Vietnam governments considered to lift the travel ban for all foreign nationals for tourism development in 2021. However, with new types Coronavirus outbreak, the Government still carefully study to balance the benefit of opening the country and safety problems. An until now, Vietnam abrogated the travel restrictions and issue tourist visa again for international tourists.
Coming back to the past, when Covid-19 became the biggest dangerous problem of the world, Vietnam issued a lot of restrictions on entry procedures. At that time, Vietnam Government banned all visa application for tourists, and there was no way to get into Vietnam. Only those who come for working purpose, Vietnamese returning home, and officials can enter Vietnam.
Vietnam Visa applications are suspended for a long time. Entry procedures are also complicated. In order to enter Vietnam, the applicants must prepare a lot of documents and apply through many steps. A negative Covid-19 testing is a must, and quarantine after entry is required.
