To mitigate the economic impact of the coronavirus pandemic, Vietnam’s government has devised policies and guidance on international travel restrictions, to balance economic recovery and safety concerns. The government has recently issued guidance to allow entry of foreign investors, managers, experts, highly-skilled workers, and their family members.
For those who are eligible to apply Vietnam visa, the vaccination certificate is a must when entering Vietnam. Depending on your country issuance, the document can be vaccination certificate, immunity passport or vaccine passport. For those who have not got vaccinated, a negative Covid-19 testing is required when entering Vietnam.
Immunity passport and other equivalent documents must be issued by organizations assigned by Government or WHO. It must show clearly your personal information as well as valid date for Covid-19 prevention. For those who use negative Covid-19 testing, the test must be done at 3 days before entry date into Vietnam.
Updated in February 2022: Vietnam government approved the plan to grant visa and welcome international tourists to Vietnam from March 15, 2022.
